I have been ruminating on this essay for something like 8 years.
I still am trying to understand it and my relationship to the writing, to Jon, and to the early AIDS epidemic.

How my body is related to its own internal system and/versus the external systems it is a part of.

Greenberg's writing style, with his extended footnotes², has influenced how I write and how I allow myself to express my ideas.
At times, my choreography feels like an extended footnote.¹
